The data on the number of detected cases of the Omicron strain are not encouraging. Many European governments will need to resort to new measures against the spread of the new strain.

Dr. Flavio Toxvaerd was interviewed by Russian daily newspaper, Izvestia and said "I suspect that some restrictions will eventually be introduced, including school closings, mandatory vaccines and COVID immunity certificates".
